MATTAWAN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new effort to clean up your drinking water could make it turn colors for a little while. The Village of Mattawan plans to start up its new arsenic treatment plant between Wednesday and Friday.

Firefighters from the Adrian Fire Department, Adrian Township Fire Department and Madison Township Fire Department responded to a house fire at 124 E. Front St. early this morning. Fire personnel had to cut down numerous trees to fight the fire. The structure is an abandoned house, and no injuries were reported.
